This is the finished color version of my lord of the sand sketch.
This pic totally drawn from scratch in photoshop, inked with the pen tool and coloured with a mix of cel shade for gaara himself and paint style for the sand.
This is the first pic that i've done in this way and i gotta say that i'm extremely chuffed with it!!

i probs drew them too dark but bugger it lol i like how this pic came out

what brushes did yu use for the sand???
um i used basic brushes of varied sizes with the flow turned down to 15-25% depending on how thick i wanted the tone i was doing on the sand
took a while to get sorta right but thats how i did it hehe

i gotta admit im well happy with the finished result considering how it started hehe
well i have done the "paint STYLE" bfore like on my fullmetal pics.
so aint anything new, this is a mix of cel shade and paint stylee tho
made myself proud with this hehe
I like the sand effect, so real-like..and that little mark thingie on his forehead totally completes the whole look..kudos big bro
I love gaara so had to do a good job with this one hehe
I love the kanji symbol as well
as for the sand i think that took about half hour to an hour, got well fussy with it lol
and still not 100% with it yet lol
i forgot gaara's kanji at first tho
